Liduvino Montero’s artistic journey defies boundaries, propelled by an insatiable curiosity and an unwavering commitment to self-challenge. His brush serves as an extension of his vision, capturing the seen and felt, guided by a deeply personal aesthetic. Within the expansive realms of art, he explores a diverse array of subjects, with a particular focus on portraits that delve into the complex emotions and nuances defining the human experience. Born in 1967 in Washington, New Jersey, Liduvino later relocated at a young age to Jayuya, Puerto Rico, a quaint town nestled in the mountains. Completing high school at Josefina Leon Zayas in 1987, Liduvino embarked on a journey towards a degree in engineering at the Polytechnic University in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. In 1996, a pivotal shift occurred as Liduvino enlisted in the U.S. Army, embarking on a military career that spanned over two decades. Retiring from the Army in 2016, newfound time allowed for exploration and practice in painting, revealing its therapeutic qualities in aiding Liduvino’s ongoing battle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). With no formal education in any art school but armed with a BA in Business Administration from Saint Leo University, Liduvino’s artistic endeavors have not garnered prizes or mentions. However, his art has found its way into the homes of individuals worldwide, with prints and originals sold via platforms like ArtPal to customers in Australia, India, and the Continental United States. Liduvino’s artistic expression transcends accolades, serving as a testament to the power of creativity in overcoming life’s challenges.
